you've been getting a lot of hate lately. i'm reading it in people's facebook status and hearing it in the aisles of Whole Foods, as shoppers and clerks bond over how desperate they are to move back to California.
there are no jobs.
finals wreak havoc on the psyches of college kids.
it's been terribly grey and rainy for weeks.
our collective seasonal affective disorder stretches on.
and lately i've had my fair share of break-downs and cry fests and curl-up-on-the-bed sessions and "i'm moving" declarations, too.
but i'm trying very hard to believe in you, portland,
and i like many things about you...
+like the public library
+like all the chickens wandering in yards
+like SCRAP
+like chopollo's mexican food cart
+like friendly IPRC staff
+like the rare day when i get a couch seat at the ACE Stumptown
